About my design work:
One thing I
would really like to do, is get into writing / designing games as
well as doing graphics for them. Usually, the game designer has
a technical background, where as I come from a completely esthetic
one. This isn´t necessarily better, but it can be just as
good and certainly different. I want to completely focus on the
look, feel, story, and structure of the game and leave the programming
to someone better suited.
I´ve been
doing web designs for a couple of years now, one of them professionally.
I very much believe in making a good first impression for a site.
As always, I am very much visually motivated, but the look must
of course suit the content. I very much like to find ways of making
even the most basic and static of sites to feel more active.
About the design links:
The
Five Cities is a game idea I am currently putting together.
It is a 3d strategi-adventure with a strong emphasis on story and
intrigue. It is not about micro-managment but does contain a few
role-playing elements.
Web & layout designs will
take you to a list of sites that I´ve done along with short
descriptions. Also listed here are some examples of layout
work I´ve done in the form of record covers and promos.
Groovy Days is a game proposal
I did as my graduation project at Hyper Island. It is a Very unusual
Role Playing Game set in the 1970´s drawing inspiration from
games like Fallout and Interstate ´76.
Realms is a future project I
have planned. It is a role playing game set in a traditional fantasy
setting. The game mechanical will be very much "back to basics"
of old-school crpgs. The incorporation of new technology into todays
crpgs often leaves something lackingin the game mechanics. Sometimes
the game takes over too much of the "micro management"
associted with this type of game. My ideas are very sketchy at the
moment, so I haven´t put a page for the game up yet.
