Clara May
L=595mm / H=515mm / Skala:1:50
The Clara May was built at Plymouth harbour and launched in 1891.
She was a typical west coast of England trading ketch. She could enter and easily
steer in all kinds of harbours for loading and unloading of merchandise
directly on the pier.
At first, she carried a polacre rigging which was later changed to a ketch
rigging. In 1926 her rigging was reduced and she had a two cylinders 59CV diesel installed.
The Clara May remained in service till 1953.
