SG is one of the two songs Mick recorded with Mott the Hoople before he and Ian Hunter left the band to create Ians first solo album "Ian Hunter". The other one , "Lounge Lizard" remained unreleased until 1993 when Sony Legacy included "Lounge Lizard on the album, "The Ballad Of  MTH, A Retrospective. The album also includes an alternative version of staurday Gigs where Mick plays syntheziser.
