Yugoslavia is counted in Serbia/Montenegro's figures. 1984: No final tournament per se, only home and away games. For alltimetable purposes is the final tournament however counted from the semifinals and onwards. 1987: Norways results counted as the host was decided on after the qualifying was concluded. 1989: (West) Germanys results counted as the host was decided on after the qualifying was concluded. 1989: Scotland withdrew after two games, Netherlands away 0-4 and Ireland away 1-2. The games were stricken. 1991: Denmarks results counted as the host was decided on after the qualifying was concluded. 1993: Italys results counted as the host was decided on after the qualifying was concluded. 1993: The 2nd game of the tie Germany vs. Yugoslavia was not played due to civil unrest in Yugoslavia. 1995: No final tournament per se, only home and away games. For alltimetable purposes is the final tournament however counted from the semifinals and onwards. 1995: Germanys results counted as the host was decided on after the qualifying was concluded. 1997: Norways and Swedens results counted as the hosts were decided on after the qualifying was concluded. 1997, 2001 and 2005: Only the Class A (First category 2005) groups are counted. 1999, 2003 and 2007: Not counted, as no final tournament was played. Only served as WC qualifying. 2013: The qualifying game Poland vs. Russia originally ended 0-2 but was set to 0-3 as the firstmentioned had broken the rules.
