Czechoslovakia came into being after WW1. Until the setup of the league in 1925, only regional leagues were organised, with occasionally (in 1919 and 1922) a national play-off. During the seasons 1938/39 - 1944/45 Czechoslovakia was divided into the proctorate of Bohemia-Moravia under German rule and Slovakia. 1938/39-1943/44: See the Bohemia/Moravia file. 1944/45: No championship because of the Soviet invasion. 1961/62: A relegation playoff was necessary between Dynamo Zilina & Spartak Praha Sokolov as they ended on equal points and the rules stipulated a playoff when that happened. Spartak Praha Sokolovo won 2-0, the game is counted in the table. 1964/65: Sparta Praha had 2 points deducted. 1968/69: Dukla Banska Bystrica had 2 points deducted.
