Welcome to Bäckens gård

in Bäckefors, Dalsland, Sweden

Why not spend a week, or just a day and night, at a working farm known from the Swedish TV-report "Near and distant"?
We are members of both Bo på Lantgård (Stay on a farm) and Dalslandsmat (Food from Dalsland).
Near the farmhouse you find a new cottage to let. By the old millpond there are also two houses to let.
All houses are suitable for children, families and groups of friends. The houses, apart from the new cottage, are furthermore allergy cleared.

We have many cows and often young cows and calves that graze round the buildings,
and in the fields we grew organic crops of corn, peas and fodder plants.

At the stableyard the hens walk about pecking while the petrabbits in most cases sit in their cage. They are ideal for the children to play with.
They enjoy to be carried, led on a lead or beeing fed something nice.

In the forest behind the farm you can pick mushrooms and berries.
You can also go fishing in some of the lakes up there.
