Gibson Les Paul TV (1957-61) SG TV (1961-64)
The Gibson Les Paul TV was introduced in 1957 with a single
cutaway. It was basically a Les Paul Jr with a "limed mahogany"
finish. In December of 1958 it was changed from a single cutaway to a
double cutaway design. In 1960 the name was changed to SG TV, but the
guitar did not change shape until 1961 when it received the
sharp-cornered SG shape, and the light yellow finish was changed to a
white one.
